We’ll pick you up from the hotel, and start the half day trip visiting the Temple of Coricancha, also known as Golden Temple, for its gold richness that this place housed. This symbolic place has a clear example of the fusion between Incan and Hispanic cultures, and during the Spanish conquer, the temple’s base was used to build the church and Convent of Santo Domingo.

Then, we’re going to visit the Cusco Cathedral located in the Plaza de Armas, to appreciate a beautiful religious paintings of the Cusco School. Also, it was declared as a World Cultural Heritage, as well as a Historic Monument of Peru.

The beauty of the main square will surprise you. Surrounded by commerce and impressive churches, this place was previously a lagoon, and it was dried up during the Inca time, and used for important celebrations. Now, it is the main tourist meeting point of Cusco.

The tour continues to the archeologic complex of Sacsayhuaman, an amazing place with huge carved stone walls which fit each other in a perfect way, and it is said that it was built by more than 20 thousand men, and took over 70 years to finish it. Located 2 Km. away from the city of Cusco, this Incan Fortress has amazing landscapes, and it houses llamas and hawks.

Later, we will visit the religious temple of Qenqo, place where the Incas worshiped their Gods like the Sun, the Moon and the Earth. You will have an incredible experience exploring through its underground passageways, and admire a semicircular amphitheatre.

We will continue this entertaining excursion in the military compound of Puca Pucara, which means “Red Fortress” for its reddish infrastructure. Then we will go the water’s worship centre of Tambomachay, with aqueducts and waterfalls provided from nearby springs. Definitely, the Inca civilisation had an advanced and surprising construction engineering.

Finishing the tour we are going to drop you off at El Regocijo Square located in Cusco city.
