Discover the Sacred Valley which iis located 35 kilometres from Cuzco. If is called “sacred” because it was the main food supplier of the Incan Empire. It is located at the origins of the Urubamba River, which in the past was known as Vilcanota.
The Incas built archaeological centers on its banks. Admire the thousands of salt wells of Maras and then Moray, the agricultural laboratory of the Incas.
Start the tour with pickup from your hotel (near or within the historic centre) between 6:00 - 7:00 AM. Transfer to Chinchero where there is a brief guided tour, then continue to the experimental centre of Moray which is considered the agricultural laboratory of the Incas.
Head out to a viewpoint where you can see the thousands of salt wells of Maras which are located on the slopes of the mountains. Afterwards, take a break in Urubamba with a delicious Andean buffet lunch.
After the break, continue to the archaeological centre of Ollantaytambo where you visit the most important complexes like the Temple of the Sun.
The last stop is at the archaeological centre of Pisac to visit some important archaeological complexes. Return to the city of Cusco, and be dropped off near Plaza de Armas (6:30 - 7:00 PM approximately).
