Our first stop is Chand Baori, located in the village of Abhaneri. This stepwell has stood for centuries as one of Rajasthan's most renowned attractions. Constructed by King Chanda of the Nikumbha Dynasty in the 9th century AD, this impressive structure serves both as a functional water conservation system and a cool refuge from the scorching desert heat. As one of the largest stepwells in existence, Chand Baori showcases not only remarkable engineering but also rich cultural history.
