P G Palya Wildlife Safari is a thrilling, untamed wilderness destination hidden within the Male Mahadeshwara Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. This newly launched Wildlife Safari spans a rugged 18-20 km route through dense, pristine dry-deciduous forests. The sanctuary serves as a vital ecological bridge, home to over 700 wild Asian elephants and an estimated 10 to 12 Bengal tigers roaming its deep valleys. On the 3 PM evening safari, travellers step into custom open-top 4x4 jeeps for an immersive 1.5 hour expedition. The timing is immaculate; as the afternoon heat fades, the jungle awakens. Guests stand a high chance of spotting massive Indian Gaurs (Bison) weighing up to 800 kg, herds of spotted chital, sambar deer, rare monitor lizards, plenty of birds & the elusive wild dogs near the forest department’s concrete water holes.
