Overview

Sommelier for 10 years, then wine merchant for over 15 years, I am passionate about Champagne.

During this Workshop, I will reveal to you all the secrets of Champagne. We will travel together through the different terroirs of this region, you will discover all the stages of the production of this magical wine.

I will introduce you to the art of tasting champagne, how to choose it, serve it and appreciate it. But also how to store it, or when to drink it.

Finally, we will taste 3 magnificent vintages, 3 very different champagnes in order to make you an expert in champagne and all its nuances.

200 metres from the cathedral, in the historic heart of Reims What is champagne? Can we only find them in Champagne? Why do we say “white of whites”? What is the miller? Can I drink it in the “roaring twenties” glasses we were given for our wedding 40 years ago? And then…at what temperature should I drink it? Why is it more expensive than a crémant? Want to know everything about the secrets of champagne? Each step...How is it done...? In the first part, I will explain Champagne and its terroirs (Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne, Côte des Blancs, etc.), and the art of making champagne. And then you will let your taste buds and your nose indulge in 3 different champagnes in order to fully understand the nuances of the Champagne terroir: a 100% Chardonnay champagne, a 100% Pinot Noir and a 100% Pinot Meunier. In the heart of Reims, in its historic centre, in a friendly atmosphere, all your questions will be answered...neophytes as well as the most advanced amateurs...my workshop is aimed at everyone, in French and in English
