What you can expect

Nature and local life blend effortlessly in Roshnik, a charming village just 25 minutes from Berat. Surrounded by rolling hills and vibrant greenery, this peaceful spot offers a glimpse into a way of life shaped by tradition, history, and the land itself. While the Berat region is rich in places to explore, Roshnik leaves a lasting impression with its warm atmosphere and authentic character.

Once part of the ancient Via Egnatia, the village has long been connected to travellers and trade. Today, its favourable climate keeps the landscape green year-round, creating the perfect environment for vineyards and agriculture. Roshnik is the only place where the rare Pules grape grows, and its vineyards stretch across the countryside as far as the eye can see, inviting visitors to slow down and enjoy a leisurely walk among the vines.

A highlight of the visit is meeting the Fiska family, who welcome guests into their agritourism experience with genuine hospitality. You’ll have the chance to taste their homemade rakia, a traditional fruit spirit made following generations-old recipes, before visiting the family winery to learn about their winemaking process. Wine tastings are paired with local liqueurs that reflect the flavours and traditions of the region.

No visit to Roshnik is complete without sampling its famous figs, often enjoyed dried and served alongside local cheeses and seasonal specialities. It’s a simple yet memorable moment—perfect for savouring, sharing, and capturing on camera.
