Discover all the must-see places in Trondheim with a passionate local guide.
Start your tour at the Market Square, the heart of the city (meeting point is in front of Hevd Bakeri & Pizzeria Torget). There you will see the statue of Olav Tryggvason who founded the city in the Viking Age.
A short stroll along Trondheim's main avenue will take you to the northernmost Gothic cathedral in the world: Nidarosdomen. Outside visit only. Entrance to the cathedral is not included in this tour.
Continue with a tour around the archbishop palace, walk along the Nidelva river in the Marinen park and look up at the Kristiansten Fortress while your guide explains you the Norwegian History .
Then follow your guide and travel back in time to the 17th century! Cross the famous Old Town Bridge, also known as the “Gate of Happiness” and explore Bakklandet, Trondheim’s Old Town. In this colourful district, let your guide show you an inventive curiosity of Norway : the world’s only bicycle lift!
Walk to the “Sunny side “ of the city and pass next to old fishing boats along the canal. On the way back to the city centre, learn more about the royal family and their summer residence in front of the Stifstgården.

Please note that it is not private tour, which means that other bookings can be added to yours. However, we have a maximum of 15 participants on each group to provide a qualitative experience.

This visit is an OUTSIDE WALKING TOUR (only) and DOES NOT include any entrances. Trondheim’s city centre is mostly flat. However, the old area is made of cobblestones. Hardly accessible to wheelchair/stroller.
