Activity itinerary

This outdoor winter activity begins at Whistlestop Kennel, where visitors meet and interact with energetic Alaskan sleigh dogs while learning about the traditions of dog mushing and competitive racing. After an introduction to the team, take a seat on the sleigh and head into the snowy wilderness for an exhilarating ride across frozen trails. Because this activity takes place outdoors in freezing arctic temperatures, participants should dress in heavy winter clothing, including insulated boots, thermal layers, gloves, and a warm hat. The experience includes hands-on time with the dog team and the guided sleigh run, while personal transport to and from the kennel is not provided.
