What you can expect

Begin your adventure with a pickup from your accommodation in Dorgali or Cala Gonone. Hop into an off-road vehicle and drive through the scenic Lanaitho Valley.

Arrive at the start of the trail and begin your 900-meter walk through the Horojos Canyon. Reach the entrance of the cave and put on your helmet and headlamp.

Enter the cave and explore its various chambers. Wait for the beam of light to appear from the opening above. Thanks to the angle of the sun, this phenomenon occurs from mid-May to early September. Watch as the cave transforms from complete darkness to full illumination in about 30 minutes.
