Your tour begins at the foot of the bronze “Hüttenmann” sculpture on Phoenixplatz. Climb the 99 steps to reach the furnace plant's skywalk. Learn about the industrial legacy and the stories of everyday work at the plant, which has been designated as a site of historical preservation since 2002.
Next, follow the path to the end of the skywalk. There, you'll reach the western blast furnace 5 and ascend more steps to reach the full height of 64 metres. Admire Dortmund's landmarks and the surrounding attractions: Lake Phoenix, the Florianturm, and the Signal Iduna Park.
