What you can expect

Enjoy the fascinating world of panoramic art. In 2003 and 2006, Asisi created the largest panoramas in the world in Leipzig and Dresden. Both are located in the listed former gasometer.

At the centre of Yadegar Asisi's 360° panorama is nature that couldn't be more bewitching and yet is often unknown. An exotic world to marvel at – fascinating, magnificent and extremely exciting.

With AMAZONIA, Yadegar Asisi has created a hyperrealistic art space that condenses the complexity of a wide variety of geological formations in the tropical rainforest. The cylindrical panorama reveals mountain rainforests and river valleys, clearings and bodies of water, giant trees or an opening valley. From the density of the green cosmos, when viewed for a longer period of time, various exotic inhabitants of the natural area come into view: for example, carnivorous plants in bright colours, colonies of giant ants or the local population on the hunt.
