Ek Balam is a Yucatec Maya name that translates to “bright star jaguar”. Ek Balam’s most important cultural period was during the Late Classic Period 700 – 1000 A.D It is the architecture and design of , “The Tower”, and the decoration of Ek Balam’s Builders and artists that used stucco and limestone mortar that makes it so special, spectacular and unique a pliable material that could be modelled into distinct forms and painted over. Now is time to refresh in amazing fresh water cenote. Important Note- The remaining (Hours) will be allotted for the travel time from pick up until drop off.
