What you can expect

Begin your hike from the car park near Chalet Favre, taking the forest trails from Besse. Follow the GR®54 trail, ignoring the first two path crossroads. Continue on the GR®54, passing paths on the left and right.

Reach a complex crossroads below the ford, and take the middle path, which is the GR®50-GR®54. Continue on this path, passing a path on the right, to reach Col du Souchet.

Take the next path, veering right to head towards the Plateau d'Emparis and Lac Lérié. Pass Lac Lérié, where the path loops and ascends. Go around it to the left. Continue on the same path, ignoring a path on the right, to reach Lac Noir.

Go around Lac Noir to the left and continue to reach Lac Cristallin, located slightly to the left. Continue northwest, veering right to quickly reach the first crossroads.

Find the GR®54 on the left, which is the second path, the first being the GR®50-GR®54C. Follow this path back to the car park near Chalet Favre.
