What you can expect
The city of Copenhagen is an unbeatable destination to be explored on foot in spite being the home of grand palaces on numerous islands, everything at comfortable walking distance. A guided walk through the modern day fairytale!
Meet your guide at the hotel.
Copenhagen Walking Tour offers you a privilege of flexibility and dictating your own pace. There is nothing better than popping into a side street and satisfying your curiosity as you stroll along with your local guide. We will start our day with a pick-up at your hotel and thereafter make our way to the most outstanding sights of the Danish capital.
We will not miss the playful Tivoli Gardens next door to the Town Hall Square. Then continue on the longest and most enjoyable pedestrian street of the world, Stroget. The wide and lively lane will lead us onto a charmingly decorated Hojbro Square with opportunities to tingle your taste buds with local pastry and traditional open-top sandwiches or please your senses with fine quality design shopping.
After a short break for some free time we will continue along the harbour front over the King's New Square towards Nyhavn area. An old harbour once inhabited by brassy sailors is today an elegant canal with delightful boats and swans calling it their home. The unparallel atmosphere of Nyhavn has made it a popular coffee shop and a desired entertainment spot in the city.
As Denmark is a country of real princes and princesses, we will also step further into the royal world and admire the exterior of the Amalienborg Castle, residence of the Danish Royal Family. On the way to the adorable symbol of Copenhagen, the Little Mermaid, we are able to enjoy the modern Opera House just across the harbour.
After witnessing how the Danes have beautifully managed to pour their royal heritage and modern design into a love for celebrated architecture world-wide, it is time to end the tour with an opportunity to continue exploring on your own.
