What you can expect

Discover Fondazione Prada in Milan through a guided tour led by an expert in-house guide. The experience introduces the history and purpose of the institution an offers an in-depth exploration of “Atlas”, one of its permanent exhibition projects. Designed by OMA led by Rem Koolhaas, Fondazione Prada’s Milan venue was created through the transformation of an early 20th-century distillery, where former industrial buildings coexist with new architectural structures. In addition to temporary exhibitions, the spaces host permanent projects by Thomas Demand and Robert Gober, in dialogue with works by Louise Bourgeois, Andreas Slominski, and filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard, as well as the Bar Luce designed by Wes Anderson. Hosted within the Torre — a 60-meter-high building connected by a panoramic lift — “Atlas” presents a selection of works – installations, paintings, tapestries, and sculptures – by contemporary artists that reflects the history and identity of Fondazione Prada, characterised by environmental experimentation and thematic research. The project also highlights the relationship between the artworks and the architectural spaces that contain them. The exhibition includes works by Carla Accardi and Jeff Koons, Walter De Maria, Goshka Macuga and Betye Saar, Fischli/Weiss, Claes Oldenburg and Alex Da Corte, John Baldessari and Carsten Höller, arranged through either monographic presentations or unprecedented pairings between artists. The ticket also grants access to independently explore all the spaces of Fondazione Prada’s Milan venue.
