What you can expect

Dressed in period clothing from the 19th century, your guided will take you on a van tour and share the fascinating storey of some the earliest settlers in the Cache la Poudre River valley. You will discover how they came to be associated with the founding of the fledgling community of Fort Collins, and where the settlement occurred along the Poudre corridor.

You will learn about former trapper and guide Antoine Janis, his Lakota wife, First Elk Woman, Elizabeth Stone and other relevant people who lived in the Cache la Poudre River valley during the nineteenth century.
