What you can expect

Start the day's excursion by leaving Fort Dauphin. Picked up from your hotel or the port by your driver and guide, you will then set off for the Berenty reserve through a landscape typical of southern Madagascar, with its semi-arid landscape, traditional huts and tombs.

After a two-hour drive, you arrive in Berenty. You'll then begin your visit to the reserve, a reference site for scientists and a popular destination for visitors interested in exploring the various plant and animal species found there.

You'll spend over 3 hours exploring the park in search of lemurs, but also birds, which are also abundant in the forest (there are no fewer than 102 species).
