What you can expect

Day 1: Huaraz – Cebollapampa (3850 m) – Pisco base camp (4676 m).
Pick up in your hotel at 8:00 am with our transport we go to Cebollapampa for about 3 hours approx. During the trip we´ll be able to appreciate two beautiful lagoons in the Llanganuco valley called Chinancocha and Orconcocha. We´ll continue until we reach Cebollapampa, where we´ll start our hike to the Pisco base camp, where we´ll camp.

Day 02: Base camp – Nevado Pisco Summit (5752 m) – Base camp
We start the ascent between 2:30 a.m. and 3:00 a.m.; first through a winding path, the path is a mix of good path with some demanding trails over moraine rocks and loose ground until reaching the glacier, after 2 to 3 hours we´ll arrive at the glacier where we´ll equip with crampons, harnesses and ropes.
Most of the way is not very steep or technically difficult, although the altitude makes it challenging. Depending on the season, there may be some short steep sections or hard ice and even a few crevasses to get over. We try to reach the summit in the early hours of the day. At the summit there is ample space to walk, appreciate the incredible surrounding mountains such as the gigantic Chacraraju, the Artesonraju (paramount), Huandoys, Caraz, Huascaran, Alpamayo and others. Then we´ll descend to the Morrena field where we´ll have our rest, lunch and continue to the base camp.

Day 3: Base camp – Cebollapampa 3800 m – Huaraz.
This day we´ll descend to Cebollapampa, where our transport awaits us to return to Huaraz.
