Meet your guide in the centre of Brussels and relax during the journey by bus to the north of Belgium. After approximately 1.5 hours, arrive in Bruges, the charming city often called the “Venice of the North”, whose entire historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Start your visit with a guided walking tour through the medieval streets of Bruges. Discover some of the city’s most beautiful landmarks, including the peaceful Lake of Love (Minnewater) and the 13th-century Begijnhof, founded in 1245 to house lay religious women.
Continue to Walplein Square, a charming spot surrounded by trees and traditional cafés, before seeing the historic Old St. John’s Hospital, one of the oldest hospitals in Europe.
Admire the impressive Church of Our Lady, home to Michelangelo’s famous Madonna and Child sculpture, and walk along the picturesque Dijver Canal. Your guide will also show you some of Bruges’ most iconic viewpoints, including Rozenhoedkaai, one of the most photographed spots in the city.
The tour continues to the lively Market Square (Grote Markt), where you can admire the impressive Belfry tower and the colourful guild houses surrounding the square.
After the guided tour, enjoy about 1.5 hours of free time to explore Bruges at your own pace, have lunch, stroll through the charming streets, or taste some delicious Belgian chocolate.
In the afternoon, continue to the beautiful city of Ghent, one of Belgium’s most fascinating medieval cities.
Upon arrival, enjoy a guided tour through its historic centre. See landmarks such as the Castle of Gerald the Devil, Saint Bavo’s Cathedral—home to the world-famous painting The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb by the Van Eyck brothers—and the impressive Belfry and Town Hall.
Walk past St. Nicholas’ Church and admire the historic guild houses along the picturesque Graslei and Korenlei quays, once the heart of Ghent’s medieval port. You will also see the majestic Castle of the Counts of Flanders and the charming Patershol district.
To complete the experience, you can optionally enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along Ghent’s canals, offering a unique perspective of the city’s historic architecture.
Afterwards, enjoy some free time to explore the city before returning to Brussels, where the tour will conclude after a full day discovering two of Belgium’s most beautiful cities.
