Our tour will start very early, we will pick you up from your hotel at 4:00 am to head south. After a trip of approximately 3 hours, we will arrive at the community of Pitumarca, where we will enjoy a delicious breakfast that will fill us with energy for the day. From here, we will begin an 8 km hike along trails surrounded by impressive Andean landscapes. During the journey, you will have the opportunity to observe the richness of the local flora and fauna, with panoramic views that will accompany each step. As we ascend, we will pause at the top to regain strength before continuing to Waqrapukara, located 4,300 metres above sea level.
Considered an important sanctuary of political and religious power, Waqrapukara is an archaeological jewel whose history still holds secrets to be deciphered. Once there, you will be able to admire the incredible Inca architecture perfectly integrated into the rocky landscape, with its cyclopean walls and ceremonial structures that seem to protect the mountains. From this point, the view is simply spectacular, with deep canyons and peaks stretching to the horizon. After enjoying a comforting lunch, we will explore the ruins in detail, visiting temples, agricultural terraces and strategic sectors of this impressive fortress.
At the end of the visit, we will return to the starting point of the hike, where our private vehicle will be waiting for us for the return trip to the city of Cusco. This experience will not only connect you with the majesty of the Andes and Inca history, but will also allow you to live an adventure full of unforgettable landscapes, culture and tranquility.
