What you can expect

Join me for a memorable journey along the spectacular coastline of East Lothian and Berwickshire, where dramatic cliffs, secluded beaches, charming fishing villages, and abundant wildlife combine to create one of Scotland's most beautiful coastal landscapes.

We'll explore highlights including Tyninghame Beach, the stunning St Abb's Nature Reserve, and either the picturesque village of Cove or the remarkable Siccar Point. For those interested in Scotland's natural history, Siccar Point is one of the most important geological sites in the world. It was here that pioneering geologist James Hutton made observations that helped shape our understanding of the Earth's immense age and laid the foundations of modern geology.

Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to discover hidden corners of the coast, learn about the area's wildlife and history, and experience breathtaking views that few visitors ever see. We travel at a relaxed pace, allowing plenty of time to enjoy the landscape, spot seabirds and marine life, and simply appreciate the beauty of this rugged coastline.

To ensure a personal and immersive experience, each tour is limited to just four participants. This allows us to tailor the day to your interests and venture beyond the usual tourist routes. A carefully prepared hamper lunch is included and enjoyed during the day, featuring a selection of sandwiches, snacks, refreshments, tea, and coffee, allowing us to make the most of our time in the landscape rather than stopping in busy towns and villages.

Good footwear is recommended, as some locations involve uneven paths and rugged coastal terrain. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, history lover, keen photographer, or simply looking to experience a lesser-known part of Scotland, this tour offers an authentic and unforgettable day exploring one of the country's hidden coastal treasures.

Photography enthusiasts are welcome to bring their cameras, and there will be plenty of opportunities to capture dramatic seascapes, wildlife, and some of the most scenic coastal views in Scotland. Guidance and local knowledge are always available, whether you're using a professional camera or simply photographing the day on your phone.
