Visit the famous Nakadake crater, part of one of the world’s largest active volcanic calderas. If weather and volcanic conditions permit, you can approach the crater area and witness the dramatic scenery shaped by geothermal activity.

— Kusasenri Grassland 60min –
Next, stop at Kusasenri, a vast grassland located at the foot of Mount Aso. The open plains and mountain backdrop create one of Kyushu’s most iconic landscapes. Enjoy free time to explore, take photos, or relax in the refreshing mountain air.

— Takachiho Gorge 60min (Boat ride not included) –
Continue to Takachiho Gorge, a breathtaking canyon formed by ancient volcanic eruptions. Walk along the riverside path and admire the vertical basalt cliffs and the beautiful Manai Falls.
