What you can expect
Embark on a 5-day adventure from Hanoi to Ha Giang, Cao Bang, and Ba Be Lake. Explore the stunning landscapes of the region, including the Ban Gioc Waterfall, Nguom Ngao Cave, and Ba Be Lake.
Day 1: Hanoi to Ha Giang
Depart from Hanoi and travel to Ha Giang. Arrive in Ha Giang early in the morning and check in to the dormitory to take a nap. After breakfast, be introduced to the itinerary by the tour guide and driver, and start the “Ha Giang Round Tour.”
Take photos at the 8-kilometer long Bac Sum Pass. Visit the Quan Ba Heaven Gate and Twin Mountains. Visit the Lung Tam linen weaving village, Can Ty Lonely Tree, and Quan Ba. Enjoy lunch at a restaurant in Yen Minh.
Continue to visit some attractions in the programme, including the Tham Ma Pass, Chin Khoanh Slope, and Lung Cu flagpole. Check in to the dormitory at the hotel/homestay in Dong Van town and have dinner. After dinner, walk around Dong Van old town and stay overnight in Dong Van.
Day 2: Dong Van to Cao Bang
After breakfast, visit the ancient fortress built by the French during the war to control the town of Dong Van district. Depart to visit Tham Ma slope, and the most quintessential scenic spots of the Happiness Road.
Visit Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of the four most beautiful peaks in Ha Giang and the whole country. Have lunch in the small town of Meo Vac. Continue to depart for Cao Bang to have dinner at the motel and check in.
Day 3: Cao Bang to Ban Gioc Waterfall
After breakfast, continue to visit Ban Gioc Waterfall located at the border between Vietnam and China. Have lunch with the people here. Continue driving to visit Nguom Ngao Cave, a limestone cave formed 300 million years ago.
Admire the stalactites and stalagmites that have created vivid and interesting scenes. Spend the night at a Nung homestay and enjoy a traditional home-cooked dinner.
Day 4: Cao Bang to Ba Be Lake
After breakfast, visit Pac Po relic, where President Ho Chi Minh chose to live after more than 30 years of living abroad. Return to Vietnam to lead the Vietnamese revolution. Visit Bo Bam cave, Co beach, Coc Po cave, Lenin stream, Mack mountain, and Nam st. Enjoy lunch with the people here.
After lunch, continue driving to Ba Be Lake. Check in to a homestay by the lake and enjoy a traditional dinner.
Day 5: Ba Be Lake to Hanoi
Spend the day on and around the lake. After breakfast, sail and explore the lake and surrounding area. Get off the boat to explore the amazing natural scenery of Ba Be Lake. Stop at Widow Island, a small island located right in the heart of the lake, associated with the formation of the lake.
Enjoy lunch at the homestay. Continue to drive to Bac Me district and Ha Giang city. Return to Hanoi.
