Experience Spiritualism and Social Anthropology in Ajmer and Pushkar
Begin in Ajmer with a visit to the world-famous Sufi shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, also known as Khwaja Garib Nawaz, a 13th-century Persian Sufi saint who settled in Ajmer, India. We will also visit a few well-known Jain gold temples.
By sunset, we will reach Pushkar, where you will have the rare opportunity to attend the evening puja ritual at the holy Pushkar Lake.
The next day, we will visit the world-famous Brahma Temple before returning to Jaipur.
During the tour, you will also have the opportunity to learn the basics of Sufism, Bhakti, Jainism, and Sikhism in the cultural surroundings of Jaipur.
In addition, enjoy a heritage walk through the narrow streets of Ajmer and Pushkar to explore their unique street culture, rituals, local food, and festivals.
Anthropologists and tourists seem to have much in common—both spend time exploring cultural expressions and traditions.
