Start your day with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Kunming and transfer to the train station by our driver. Board a bullet train and enjoy a scenic 2-hour ride to Dali on your own.

Upon arrival, meet your professional English-speaking guide at the exit of the arrival hall, who will hold a sign with your name. Then head directly to the Chongsheng Three Pagodas.

The Chongsheng Three Pagodas is a national treasure with a history of more than 1,000 years. Stroll around the peaceful temple grounds and beautiful gardens with your guide, admire the magnificent ancient pagodas, and listen to your guide explain its long history, culture, religion and art.

Next, continue to Dali Ancient Town. It is a well-preserved historic town with traditional Bai ethnic minority houses, ancient streets and charming scenery. Explore the old town at a relaxed pace and feel the unique atmosphere of Dali.
Lunch is not included in the tour. If you would like to have lunch, your guide can recommend nice local restaurants for you, and you can pay for your meal by yourself.

Then, head to Erhai Lake, the largest highland lake and one of the seven biggest freshwater lakes in China. Board a boat and cruise across the lake to Golden Shuttle Island (Jinsuo Dao) and the nearby fishing community of the Bai Minority. Learn about the Bai Minority's culture and lifestyle.

Depending on your walking speed and your departure train time, we can visit Xizhou Old Town if time permits. Xizhou is a famous historic and cultural town with classic Bai architecture and rich local traditions.

At the end of the tour, your guide will transfer you back to Dali Railway Station. Take the bullet train back to Kunming, where our driver will wait for you at the exit and transfer you back to your hotel in Kunming.
