In a single day, you can explore the Ballestas Islands, known for their wildlife similar to that of the Galapagos, observe sea lions and seals, and tour the Huacachina Desert in a dune buggy while sandboarding. Don't let the short time you have in Lima stop you from discovering Huacachina and Paracas. Enjoy this oasis and its natural views on a full-day excursion, perfect for those with limited time
The sightseeing tour begins at 5:00 am with pickup in Miraflores, near Larcomar, where other groups will be picked up later before starting this exciting adventure. Along the way, we'll stop at a local artisan bakery to enjoy a small breakfast with food and drinks. Then, we'll head to Paracas, specifically to the El Chaco cruise port, where we'll board modern boats that will take us to the Ballestas Islands. During the tour, we'll be able to admire the impressive marine fauna, including sea lions, Humboldt penguins, black cormorants called guanay, and various species of marine birds.
Afterwards, it will be time to enjoy a delicious lunch at the “NIETO” winery, where you will also have the option to walk around the area or bring your own food. After lunch, we will learn about the Peruvian Pisco making process and be guided by an expert in a tasting of the different types of Pisco produced locally
We will continue the journey to the Huacachina Oasis in Ica, where you can walk around the lagoon and enjoy its natural beauty. The most exciting part of the day will be the dune buggy and sandboard activity: a 4x4 experience through the dunes of Huacachina, followed by a thrilling sandboard descent
Before returning, we'll make a final stop at “Racimo de Uva,” where you can buy snacks or souvenirs, such as wine, pisco, and other Peruvian products. Finally, we will make our way back to Lima, with an estimated arrival at Larcomar at around 10:00 PM.
