ITINERARY
We will pick you up at the indicated time at the meeting point of your choice in Lima and head north to Sayán. Did you know that this town is known as the land of alfajor? In addition to telling you the history of this traditional sweet, we will enjoy a guided tour of Sayán in which we will visit its main square, the church of San Jerónimo and the house of the liberator José de San Martín. Then, we will head to Churín and stop at the entrance of the municipality to access the enigmatic Mamahuarmi grotto. We will unravel the legend of Princess Shumac while exploring this magical place. Once in Churín we will visit a fish farm and take a break for lunch on your own. After regaining our strength we will begin a tour of Churín visiting its main square, the 16th century colonial church and the Mamahuarmi monument. Afterwards you will have free time to buy some souvenirs. We will conclude the excursion by visiting the Tingo thermal complex, a few kilometres from Churín. Its thermal waters with a high content of sulphur, iron and lithium are ideal for treating illnesses such as rheumatism or arthritis, and for purifying the skin. You will have free time to relax in its natural pools. Finally, we will return to Lima and drop you off at the starting point around 10:00 p.m.
