Day 1: The Ascent & Alpine Camping
Your journey begins early on Saturday. Gather at Litochoro at 1:00 PM and transfer to Prionia at 1,100 metres.
After a gear check and briefing with your certified mountain guide, begin a steady, scenic 3-hour hike through the shifting alpine landscape. Your destination is the area near the Zolotas Refuge (2,100m). Set up camp, unwind against the backdrop of the imposing peaks, and enjoy a hearty dinner. The day ends with a final summit briefing before sleeping under a canopy of stars.
Day 2: Standing on the Peak of the Gods
Wake up at 6:00 AM to the crisp mountain air. Immediately head out for a 3-hour trek via “Golgothas” leading to the Skala peak. This is where the real adventure begins: gear up with specialised mountaineering equipment (helmets and ropes where necessary) for the final technical scramble to the legendary Mytikas summit (2,918m).
Take in the absolute sense of achievement and the unmatched, panoramic views of the Aegean Sea and the surrounding peaks. After celebrating at the top, safely descend back to the refuge for a well-deserved breakfast and rest. Finally, hike back down to Prionia, where the bus awaits to take you back.
