What you can expect

Start with pickup from select hotels in Ponta Delgada and head to the start point at the Vista do Rei Viewpoint.
This trail starts at the Vista do Rei viewpoint, on the western slope of the Sete Cidades ridges, a protected landscape area within the island's natural park.
You can observe Caldeira Seca and Lagoa das Sete Cidades on the right side, and the west coast of São Miguel island on the left side.
After finishing the dirt road, you will reach the Lomba do Vasco viewpoint, and then turn right towards the parish of Sete Cidades.
