DAY 1
The sightseeing tour starts at 5:50 AM with pick-up from your respective hotels in city centre Puno. (This trip is usually a small group of 5 to 10 people on some occasions)
6-hour trip with stops to observe camelids, small lakes, and the volcanoes vantage point on the other side of the canyon. We will visit the high Andean Lagunillas, natural villages, and the Volcanoes vantage point in Patapampa.
12:15 PM: Check-in at the hotel, free time for lunch.
For logistical reasons, you will join another group with another guide in charge to continue with the programme. Of course, some afternoon activities are optional.
3:00 PM. We can go visit the hot springs as coordinated by the guide. We can enjoy these waters for an average of 1.5 hours.
5:30 pm: Return to your hotel
7:00 pm. Optionally, you can attend the dinner with folk dances together with the guide. This is an extra cost and is at the customer's expense.
Return to your hotel and overnight stay. End of Day 1
DAY 2:
5:50 AM Generally, the hotel you have booked will prepare breakfast for you early. You will have this average time until the pick-up time at your hotel.
At around 6:30 AM, we will pick up passengers from their hotels in Chivay to visit the main points of interest in the Colca Canyon, such as the Cruz del Condor vantage point, where we will see the depth of the canyon, the flight of the condor, and beautiful landscapes.
10:00 a.m. We'll also visit other enchanting vantage points such as Wayrapunko and Antahuilque, where we'll enjoy a spectacular view of the terraces.
9:30 AM After the visit to the canyon, we will stop at other natural vantage points and in the traditional village of Maca, where you can find local products and see their traditional clothing. After that, we will return to the town of Chivay.
12:00 pm Lunch in Chivay, together with the guide. Optionally, you can go for a buffet lunch with typical dishes (extra cost at the client's expense), and then we will start the return trip to the city of Arequipa, making a few short stops along the way, if required.
4:30 PM Arrival in the town centre. Drop-off near Plaza de Armas in Arequipa, thus ending our tour.
