This tour begins with a 6:00 a.m. pick-up from your hotel in Puno (near or within the historic centre). We will travel by shared bus (you will share the bus with other passengers not participating in the tour) to Copacabana Plaza, located in Bolivia.

The guide will meet you there, and we will cross the border, arriving at our destination around 11:00 a.m. Once there, we will take a walking tour, admiring the facade of the 17th-century Basilica of Our Lady of Candelaria and discovering why this city is an important pilgrimage centre in Bolivia.

After visiting this wonderful place, we will enjoy lunch, which includes chicken or trout (lunch is at your own expense). Afterwards, we will head to the port, where a boat will be waiting to take us to the nearby Island of the Sun.

Upon disembarking, we will begin a guided tour of approximately two hours. We will explore the island and delve into the origins of the Inca culture, admiring the ancient sanctuaries. After our visit to Isla del Sol, we'll take the boat back to Copacabana. You'll board the bus back, and it will drop you off at the Puno bus terminal at approximately 8:30 p.m.
