See the Great Mosque, considered one of the finest examples of Islamic architecture in the region. Along with the splendid interior, admire the large prayer hall, a courtyard, and a minaret. Then, visit the Sidi Sahbi Mausoleum, known for its beautiful tilework and stucco decorations.

Stop for lunch before visiting El Djem, the third-largest amphitheatre built by the Romans. During its heyday, up to 35,000 spectators would pack its stands to see gladiator fights. Today, you can still view the impressive structure that has endured the test of time and discover its significance.
