Join us for a fun day trip from Svolvær to the Reine & Å area — the most iconic and dramatic parts of Lofoten. We travel in a comfortable 9-seater minivan and make plenty of scenic stops along the way, including the Hamnøy Bridge, the yellow cabins of Sakrisøy, and the postcard-perfect fishing villages of Reine & Å. Depending on the weather, light and timing, we MAY also visit Ramberg Beach, Skagsanden Beach, or the Fredvang Bridges.
During the brighter months, we run tours both in the morning and afternoon to make the most of the light, and to avoid the crowds. Midday sun in Lofoten can be harsh, while the afternoon and evening bring softer, warmer tones that make the landscapes and photos pop. All the really good photos from Lofoten are taken in this period.
It’s also quieter. By the time we reach the main stops, most tour groups are already heading back to Svolvær. Thanks to the long Arctic days, we still enjoy plenty of daylight — often the best of it — but with fewer crowds. Instead of lunch, we enjoy a relaxed dinner break at local spots that stay open into the evening.
Make sure you double check the starting time before booking!
Your guide uses a microphone connected to your personal headset, so you can hear everything clearly both in the car and at viewpoints along the way.
That means:
- No need to gather around the guide to hear information
- No struggling to hear over wind or background noise
- No interruptions to the natural flow of the tour
You can walk around, take photos, or just enjoy the scenery — while still hearing the stories if you want to.
And just as importantly, you can choose not to.
Adjust the volume, or take the headset off completely when you feel like switching off and simply taking in the landscape in silence.
PICKUP
Pickup is available in both Svolvær and Leknes. We keep it easy and comfortable for both you and our guides so we have one pickup spot in each city. No waiting out in the cold for a delayed guide because other guests were late to their meeting point.
- In Svolvær we pick you up at the large car park outside of the KIWI supermarket, located in the city centre.
- In Leknes we pick you up at the Circle K petrol station.
We focus on quality, comfort, and local knowledge. As a local company, we use minivans, keep groups small, and always respect wildlife, private property, and local communities — because Lofoten isn’t just a destination to us, it’s home.
Between stops, we talk about what life in Lofoten is actually like: the good, the challenging, the funny, the chaotic. From overtourism and winter storms to local stories and everyday routines — this is the side of Lofoten you don’t get from big bus tours.
We bring with us hot drinks and light snacks, and for lunch we stop at Anita’s Seafood, famous for their fish soup and fish burgers (vegetarian options available) or at Lofoten Beach Camp at the Skagsanden beach (as Anita´s seafood can get quite crowded in the main season).
