In the afternoon, we will visit the archaeological site of Aquileia, an ancient port city in Friuli Venezia Giulia and one of the most important and prosperous centers of the Roman Empire. During the guided tour of Aquileia, we will explore the vast and remarkably well-preserved archaeological area, where you can admire the remains of the river port, the late antique markets, and the Roman forum.

The guided tour will continue inside the Patriarchal Basilica of Aquileia, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998, famous for its exceptional 760 m² Christian mosaic, one of the largest and most significant in the Western world.
