What you can expect

  • Embark on a 18-day trekking adventure in the Himalayas. Explore the beautiful landscapes of Darjeeling, Uttarey and Bikhbari Chaurikhang. Enjoy the convenience of hotel and campsite accommodation, and meals included.

    Day 1: Bagdogra Airport to Darjeeling
    Arrival at Bagdogra Airport. Meet our representative and drive towards Darjeeling. On arrival, check-in to hotel & Overnight stay will be at Darjeeling.

    Day 2: Explore Darjeeling
    Early Morning drive to Tiger hill for spectacular sunrise & Yiga Choling Ghoom Monastery. After breakfast take Toy Train ride, HMI, Zoo, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre & Happy valley tea Garden. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

    Day 3: Darjeeling - Uttarey
    After breakfast check out from hotel & transfer to Uttarey. Overnight stay in Lodge/Camp.

    Day 4: Uttarey - Chiwa Bhanjyang
    After breakfast trek to Chiwa Bhanjyang. Pass through a rainforest and make a steep ascent to the Nepalese border. Overnight stay in Camp.

    Day 5: Chiwa Bhanjyan - Acclimatisation Day
    Hike to the nearby Singalila Peak at 3500m to acclimatise to the altitude. Overnight stay in Camp.

    Day 6: Chiwa Bhanjyang - Gairi
    After breakfast trek to Gairi. Overnight stay in Camp.

    Day 7: Gairi - Dhorur/Pare Meghu
    After breakfast trek to Dhorur or Pare Meghu. Overnight stay in Camp.

    Day 8: Pare Meghu - Lam Pokhari
    After breakfast trek to Lam Pohari. Walk easily on a good trail through woods until you begin a steady rise up a broad valley. Catch your first closer view of the entire Kabru range dominated by Mount Pandim. Overnight stay in Camp.

    Day 9: Lam Pokhari - Gomathang
    After breakfast trek to Gomathang via Dafay Bhir. Overnight stay in Camp.

    Day 10: Gomathang - Pangden
    After breakfast trek to Pangden. Overnight stay in Camp.

    Day 11: Pangden - Dzongri
    After breakfast trek to Dzongri. Overnight stay in Camp.

    Day 12: Dzongri - Bikhbari
    After breakfast trek to Bikhbari. Overnight stay at Camp.

    Day 13: Bikhbari – Chaurikhang Rathong valley Base Camp
    Early Morning trek is a gradual ascent to the Base Camp, the site used by the HMI of Darjeeling for its mountaineering courses. From the base camp, you can enjoy stunning views of Frey’s Peak (5,830m), Koktang (6,148m), Kabur, and the Rathong. After spending some time taking in the scenery, After Back to Bikhbari

    Day 14: Bikhbari - Dzongri
    After breakfast trek to Dzongri. Overnight stay at Camp.

    Day 15: Dzongri - Tshoka
    Rise early and trek uphill to the ridge to chase the dawn. After breakfast trek to Tshoka downhill. Overnight stay will be at Thoka.

    Day 16: Tshoka - Yuksom
    After breakfast trek to Yuksom. Our final day and freewheeling evening with the trekking crew so we will be celebrating our achievements, and a final thank you to the local staff. Overnight stay will be at Hotel.

    Day 17: Yuksom - Kalimpong
    After breakfast check out from hotel & transfer to Kalimpong. Overnight stay in Kalimpong.

    Day 18: Kalimpong – Bagdogra Airport
    After breakfast check out from hotel & transfer to Bagdogra Airport.
