What you can expect

At 9:00 a.m., we'll pick you up from your hotel lobby to head to the archaeological zone of Quiahuiztlan, “the place where the rain rises to the heights.” On the Cerro de los Metates, you'll find vestiges of the most beautiful pre-Hispanic cemetery in the Totonac world. There are also remains of pyramids and a ball court from which you can enjoy a splendid panoramic view of the beaches of Villa Rica in the Gulf of Mexico.

After visiting, we'll arrive at Cempoala, a place of “twenty waters” that gets its name from being surrounded by rivers in the region.
Besides being one of the important archaeological zones of the state and Totonac culture, we'll see the main buildings, such as
the Temple of the Chimneys, the Gladiators' Circle, and other pyramid bases.

Then, we'll head towards La Antigua, a small town framed by huge, leafy trees on the banks
of the Huitzilapan River, or the river of hummingbirds. Here, you'll find legacies of the Spanish conquest, such as the Casa del Cabildo and the Ermita
del Rosario, the first Catholic church in Mexico. Return to your hotel at the agreed time.
