Inspired by the timeless film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, this private tour takes you through the real Swiss landscapes and villages that appear in the film.

Your route begins in the Simmental at Zweisimmen, home to the small railway station featured in the film. From here you head into the Saanenland, pausing at a viewpoint over Saanen village with its historic St. Mauritius church and tall steeple. Nearby, the bridge over the Saane River is the spot fans know as the setting for the film's famous love scene, and a lovely place for photos.

You then arrive in Gstaad, a well-known alpine resort town which appears in DDLJ, is lined with chalet-style buildings, boutiques, and cafés. If you'd like, we can have an optional lunch at a Bollywood-themed restaurant.

The day continues to Interlaken, set between two lakes. Here, in the Kursaal garden, stands the bronze statue of Yash Chopra, unveiled in 2016 to honour the filmmaker whose films made Switzerland a favourite backdrop in Indian cinema. It's a meaningful stop for fans of the era.

On the way back, you can choose to stop at Lake Lungern, a calm lake with vibrant turquoise and emerald water that featured in one of the film's songs. Usually far quieter than the busier tourist spots, it's a peaceful place to end the day.
