Suisha-mura is a small village located in a mountain valley about 30 minutes drive from city centre Fujieda. Cross a suspension bridge over the clear stream water to find a 250-year-old traditional Japanese house with a thatched roof nestled against the mountainside.

Beside the house sits the old waterwheel for which the village is named.
