Begin your journey by Southern Aso Railway from Tateno Station to Minamiaso-Shirakawamizu Station, travelling slowly through the foothills of Mount Aso and enjoying the beautiful natural scenery of the southern Aso region.
The train winds through mountains and countryside, with constantly changing views outside the windows. Enjoy panoramic views of the majestic Aso Five Peaks, as well as forests, open fields, and clear streams along the way.
Each season offers a different experience: fresh green scenery in spring, lush landscapes in summer, colourful autumn foliage, and peaceful mountain views in winter.

***Mount Aso crater is currently closed due to a helicopter accident. Visitors can only view it from a distance. Reopening is subject to official updates.
