Meet your guide at Meinohama Station and travel by car to Meinohama Ferry Terminal. After a short 10-minute ferry ride to Nokonoshima Island, begin your walk from the island port.
Walk at a comfortable pace and take breaks along the way, reaching the park in about 1 hour. Inside Nokonoshima Island Park, spend 2–3 hours enjoying colourful flowers that bloom throughout the year. In spring, see cherry blossoms and rapeseed flowers. In summer, admire sunflowers. In autumn, see cosmos, and in winter, enjoy Japanese daffodils.
Beyond the flower fields, the park also offers small animals like goats and rabbits, plus a nostalgic Showa-retro street with snack shops and photo spots.
For the return walk, take a slightly different route via Nokonoshima Campground, famous for its palm trees and beautiful views of central Fukuoka across the sea. The return walk is also around 3 km (about 1 hour).
Including walking inside the park, the total walking distance for this tour is approximately 7-8 km. If you feel tired, you can also choose to return by bus from the park to the ferry port instead of walking back.
This is a small-group experience guided by a local Fukuoka guide, who will share the island’s history, culture, and hidden highlights along the way.
