Overview

Mount Longonot is a dormant stratovolcano located in the Great Rift Valley, approximately 60 km northwest of Nairobi and just 90 km from Nakuru. Rising to 2,776 metres above sea level, it is famous for its massive 3.1 km climbing trail leading to the summit and a spectacular 7.2 km loop encircling the crater.
