Being the Dinosaur Capital of the World, Drumheller offers visitors the world-class Royal Tyrrell Museum which takes visitors into the not-so-distant past when dinosaurs roamed the earth. It houses the world's largest displays of dinosaurs and Canada's only museum dedicated exclusively to palaeontology.
The region is called the Badlands, and back when the dinosaurs were around, the area provided the perfect conditions to create fossils – lots of them! In fact, some of the most important fossil discoveries were found in this area and many of them now live in museums around the world.
