You can begin your ascent to the Golan Heights via Hamat Gader, situated on the southern end of the Heights, which overlooks the picturesque Yarmuk River and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
From the Shalom observatory, take in the stunning views of the Sea of Galilee before heading to Katzrin, the contemporary capital of the Golan. There, you can explore the impressive excavated city from the Talmudic eradating back to the 2nd to 5th centuries. The city's museum showcases various unique archaeological finds from the Golan.
