You will begin your route at the Bandama Caldera vantage point, an impressive volcanic crater with walls covered in vegetation, considered one of the most beautiful in the Canary Islands. A few minutes away, you'll enter the Viera y Clavijo Botanical Garden, a true plant paradise where more than 500 species coexist among centuries-old palm trees, giant ferns, endemic plants, and flowers from five continents. You'll stroll among ravines and waterfalls that invite you to discover nature with all your senses.
The next stop will take you to the historic heart of the island: Vegueta, the old town of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. You'll stroll through its cobblestone streets while admiring the majestic Cathedral of Santa Ana, the iconic Plaza de Santa Ana, and the façade of the Casa de Colón (entrance not included), where the city's history intertwines with that of the American continent. You'll enjoy free time to have lunch at your own pace and wander around the charming squares.
To finish, you'll head to Santa Catalina Park, the vibrant heart of the seaside area, and to Las Canteras Beach, a long strip of golden sand perfect for strolling and feeling the Atlantic breeze. Alternatively, you can choose to visit the Poema del Mar aquarium (see the available supplement). After this last stop, you'll head back south, knowing that you've experienced a full day of discovery. Full-day excursion.
