What you can expect

Join us for an unforgettable experience, including a beautiful, unique train ride to the Grand Canyon (in the winter months, you will travel from the Grand Canyon) and a magnificent tour visiting Grand Canyon National Park for the rest of the day.

Your guide will make sure all of the logistics are taken care of for you, from picking you up at your hotel, to checking you in for your train ride, to meeting you at the end of your train ride and lunch, to continuing your tour of the Grand Canyon, and finally dropping you back off at your hotel at the end of a fantastic day.

In the morning, your guide will pick you up at your hotel and drop you off at the Williams Train Depot, where you will have a ONE-WAY, northbound coach class train ticket. The train departs from Williams, Arizona, which is located along Interstate 40 in northern Arizona, approximately 32 miles west of Flagstaff for your 1.5 hour train ride. Train upgrades can be made depending on availability, call us in advance and we will check availability.

Streamliner-era coaches that get you to the canyon with style, grace, and entertainment. Enjoy comfortable bench-style seating in these classic air-conditioned 1950s era passenger cars. Strolling musicians roam the cars playing the tunes of yesteryear while your passenger service attendant will be there to add insight and answer questions. Enjoy vistas of wide open plains and mountains as you journey to the Grand Canyon.

After arriving at the Grand Canyon Village, you will experience your first Grand Canyon view, have time to explore the views and extraordinary historical buildings or take a stroll along the rim. You will be given time to enjoy lunch on your own (lunch not included) then rejoin your guide, where you will travel via touring van to see the magical south and east rim. Your guide will take you to see the best vistas.

On your way back, you will travel by touring van through the Navajo Nation and visit the historic Cameron Trading Post. You will be given time for souvenir shopping. Many Native Artisans have beautiful, authentic items at the trading post. Afterwards, your guide will take you back to your hotel after a fantastic day out.
