What you can expect

Day 1: Merv Exploration. After meeting at the Turkmen/Uzbek border, we will transfer to Merv, the “Queen of the World” and one of the most important capitals of ancient Islamic civilisation. You will visit the Greater and Lesser Kyz Gala, the Sultan Sanjar mausoleum, and other historical complexes before spending the night in Mary.

Day 2: Ashgabat City Tour. Drive to Ashgabat to visit a local horse stable and admire the unique, world-renowned Akhalteke horses. Afterwards, enjoy a comprehensive city tour of the “white marbled city,” including landmarks like the Wedding Palace, the Arch of Neutrality, and the Independence Monument.

Day 3: Darvaza Gas Crater. Enjoy free time in the morning before heading to the Darvaza Gas Crater. Known as the “Door to Hell,” this spectacular site offers a fascinating view of the burning gas cavern, accompanied by a BBQ dinner under the stars.

Day 4: Border Crossing. Conclude your adventure with a picnic-style breakfast before transferring to the Turkmen/Uzbek border checkpoint.
