Private Ohana - Hakalau Birdwatching Exclusive
Hakalau means “many perches.” Named by Hawaiian’s long ago, it is still recognised as critical bird habitat today. This National Wildlife Refuge is the first in the country established for forest birds and is home to some of the rarest plants, birds and insects on earth. Explore this lush, tropical forest reserve with your private naturalist guide and enjoy exclusive access to some of our favourite trails in the Pua’Ākala tract, not open to the public.
