2-Day Ninh Binh Adventure from Hanoi: Hoa Lu, Tam Coc, Bai Dinh, Trang An & Mua Cave
Day 1: Ancient Capital – River Caves – Countryside Cycling, Meals: Lunch, Dinner
07:00 – 07:45 AM: Pickup from your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter and depart for Ninh Binh, with a short rest stop en route.
Step back in time at Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, the political centre of Vietnam in the 10th and 11th centuries. Visit the historic temples dedicated to King Dinh Tien Hoang and King Le Hoan, set against a backdrop of dramatic limestone mountains.
Enjoy a delicious Vietnamese buffet lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, experience one of Vietnam’s most iconic boat journeys in Tam Coc. Glide along the peaceful Ngo Dong River on a traditional sampan boat, passing through three natural caves (Hang Ca, Hang Hai, Hang Ba) and drifting between towering limestone karsts and rice paddies.
After the boat ride, hop on a bicycle for a relaxing countryside ride through quiet villages and emerald fields — a perfect way to witness authentic rural life.
Transfer to your charming bungalow in Tam Coc for check-in. Enjoy free time to swim, unwind, or explore before dinner at around 7:00 PM.
Overnight in Tam Coc. Note: No guide accompanies guests overnight. A new guide will join the group on Day 2.
Day 2: Bai Dinh Pagoda – Trang An UNESCO Site – Mua Cave Viewpoint, Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Start your morning with breakfast at the bungalow and enjoy some leisure time.
After check-out, transfer to Bai Dinh Pagoda, one of Southeast Asia’s largest Buddhist complexes. Admire its impressive architecture, including: 500 stone Arhat statues, Massive bronze bells, Giant bronze Buddha statues
Continue to the UNESCO-listed Trang An Landscape Complex, often called “Ha Long Bay on land.” Enjoy a 2.5-hour boat journey through serene waterways, cave tunnels, and majestic limestone mountains.
After lunch, visit Mua Cave and climb to the summit of Ngoa Long Mountain. From the top, take in breathtaking panoramic views of Tam Coc’s rice fields and karst valleys — one of the most spectacular viewpoints in northern Vietnam.
17:30: Return to Hanoi. Arrive in the evening. Please Note: The itinerary may be adjusted depending on weather or operational conditions.
