What you can expect

Vietnam is a unique country thanks to its special geographical location, situated along the cultural exchange routes between East and West by both sea and land. Throughout its long history, Vietnam has been influenced by the beliefs and religions of many civilisations such as China, India, and Europe. During this process, the Vietnamese people have not only preserved and developed their traditional folk beliefs, but also absorbed influences from religions such as Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, and Catholicism, enriching the nation’s spiritual and cultural life. Each religious site is not only a place of worship but also preserves remarkable architectural, artistic, and historical values.

More than just a religious journey, this tour also takes you to explore the rich history and culture of local people. You will discover the Old Quarter and the French Quarter, learn about Hanoi’s history, and gain insight into the daily life of local residents. In addition, you will have the opportunity to enjoy Hanoi’s famous egg coffee in a traditional ancient house — one of the original places where egg coffee was first created and served, a hidden spot that not every traveller can easily find.

  1. Tran Quoc Pagoda: The oldest pagoda in Hanoi with a history of more than 1,500 years, located on a small island by West Lake, largest &beautiful lake in Hanoi. It was an important Buddhist centre of ancient Thang Long, renowned for its ancient architecture, peaceful atmosphere, profound cultural and spiritual values
  2. St. Joseph’s Cathedral (Hanoi Cathedral) (outside visit only on Sundays): A historic Gothic-style structure strongly influenced by French architecture, admired for its solemn and classical beauty. It is one of the most important centers of Catholic worship in Hanoi
  3. Nam Huong Communal House: A traditional Vietnamese religious site dedicated to village tutelary gods, featuring solemn ancient architecture.
  4. Ngoc Son Temple: One of the most famous and sacred temples in Hanoi, located on Jade Island in the middle of Hoan Kiem Lake, and regarded as a cultural and spiritual symbol of the capital
  5. Hanoi Old Quarter & famous egg coffee: A historic area preserving ancient architecture and traditional urban life, famous for its characteristic craft streets and iconic egg coffee (You may also choose another drink if you do not drink coffee)
  6. Ma May Heritage House: A typical 19th-century traditional Hanoi house, offering visitors a vivid insight into the lifestyle of Old Quarter residents in the past, as well as the Vietnamese tradition of ancestor worship within the family
  7. Temple of Literature – Imperial Academy: The first university of Vietnam, established more than 1,000 years ago, symbolising Confucian education and the nation’s long-standing tradition of learning

NOTE: When visiting temples and pagodas, visitors are advised to wear shirts with sleeves and pants or skirts covering the knees in order to respect the dress regulations of the sites.
