What you can expect

  • Option: Private Tour: Explore the Truc Temple and Ngu Dong Thi Son Scenic Area

Explore the Truc Temple and Ngu Dong Thi Son Scenic Area. Discover the temple's beautiful scenery and learn about its meaningful Dam singing festival, honouring the national hero Ly Thuong Kiet.

Admire the temple, which is built in the middle of a bamboo forest spanning dozens of acres, hence its name Truc Temple (Bamboo Temple). After nearly a thousand years, the bamboo forest is no longer as pristine as it once was, but surrounding the temple, countless bamboo stalks still remain.

Explore the Five Caves, consisting of five interconnected caves stretching hundreds of metres, extending deep into the heart of Mount Cam. See the entrance to the cave, high up.

See how the first cave is not very large, resembling a frog's mouth. Admire the scenery here, which is very special: at dawn, the brilliant light shines in, reflecting shimmering colours on the cave walls; at noon, sunlight filters through the leaves in front of the cave, creating a pale green colour.

Option: Private Tour: Tam Chuc Pagoda

Discover the beauty of Tam Chuc Pagoda, a spiritual tourist site set in an awe-inspiring landscape. Admire the pagoda's impressive architecture and spectacular surroundings, with its front facing the lake and the back leaning into the mountain.

Explore the whole complex, which covers a total area of nearly 5,000 hectares, with Tam Chuc Pagoda itself covering 144 hectares. Learn about the legend of the 7 fairies from heaven who wandered the earth and forgot to return home, symbolised by the 6 islets on the lake and the 7 mountains behind the pagoda.

Admire the traditional Vietnamese architecture of Buddhist pagodas, including the Cong Tam Quan (the three-arched-entrances gate), Dien Quan Am, Dien Tam The (The Main Hall of Buddha of the Three Times), Dien Phap Chu, and Chua Ngoc (Jade Pagoda).

Inside these places, see gigantic Buddhist statues carved skilfully. Visit Dien Tam The, the largest building in the Tam Chuc Complex, and see the three colossal black bronze Buddha statues representing the past, present, and future. Each statue weighs about 80 tonnes and is decorated with a gold-plated Bodhi leaf at its back.

Explore Dien Phap Chu, located under Dien Tam The, and admire the 4 large reliefs covering the statues, each depicting a turning point in the life of Shakyamuni Buddha. Visit Dien Quan Am and see the gigantic Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva statue, made entirely from bronze and weighing up to 100 tonnes.

Finally, visit the Jade Pagoda, located on the top of That Tinh Mountain, the highest position in the complex. This 13-meter-high pagoda captivates visitors with its seamless red granite structure. Inside, see a ruby statue of the Amitabha Buddha weighing 4,000 kg, made from rubies imported from Myanmar.

Climb 299 stone steps to reach the pagoda and admire the panoramic view of the landscape created by imposing nature and impressive structures built by human hands.
